Gareth Hughes

I serve as Vice President of Solutions at Precision Vehicle Logistics, where I focus on aligning our operations with customer innovation programs and continuously evaluating our technical platforms to drive efficiency and problem-solving across the business. I was also part of the founding team of AutoVentive, PVH’s technology arm, where I helped build out our yard management system (YMS) functionality. Since then, my role has expanded to focus more broadly on developing scalable solutions that support our operations and long-term growth.

I bring more than two decades of global experience in finished vehicle logistics, working with third-party logistics providers across assembly plants, ports, and vehicle distribution centers. Since joining Precision family in 2017, my primary focus has been on deploying operations and supporting the organization’s growth through practical, solution-driven approaches.

I joined Precision because of the people and the opportunity. From the beginning, it was clear that the leadership team valued experience, collaboration, and recognized that people are the organization’s greatest asset.

What I value most about my role is mentoring the next generation and creating opportunities for others to grow, just as I was given throughout my career. I also value the collaboration across our industry, working together to create safer, more efficient, and more valuable operations. I believe strongly that to understand your team, you first have to understand the individual—taking the time to recognize each person’s strengths and challenges leads to better alignment and stronger results.
